About Spiritual Healing

Spiritual Healing is the channelling of healing energies through the healer/therapist to the patient/client. It re-energises and relaxes the patient/client to enable their own natural resources to deal with illness or injury in the best possible way. By ‘attunement’ – perhaps best described as a combination of empathy and intent – either in the presence of the patient/client or at a distance – and by directing energy, usually through the hands, the healer/therapist seeks to supplement the depleted energy of the recipient, dealing with stress at whatever level it exists and releasing the body’s own recuperative abilities to deal with the problem in the most effective way for that individual.

Clients/patients receiving healing tend to experience sensations of being re-energized or relaxed, ‘pins and needles’, heat or coolness, and pain coming to the surface and dispersing indicating that the energies are indeed ‘going to work’. Healing can be given for any illness, stress or injury as a therapy which is completely natural, has no known side effects and is complementary to any other therapy. It can be helpful in a wide range of physical and psychological conditions, sometimes to a remarkable degree; indeed the medically diagnosed nature of the illness appears to be irrelevant to the outcome, and case histories range from the trivial to the terminal in which healing seems to have made an important, perhaps even over-riding, contribution to recovery. Aside from its value in relieving pain and restoring function, healing is also notable in initiating improvements in patients’ attitudes and clarity of thought, and in their quality of life.

Often the question is asked whether is it important to have “Faith”? The answer is no. Nothing special is asked of the patient/client except perhaps openness to anything that happens and a degree of trust in the healer/therapist. An awareness of the need for change and the motivation to do so can also be helpful.

Many ask ‘Does Spiritual Healing always work’? It is unusual for healing not to be helpful in some way. Sometimes one treatment/therapy is sufficient, but often several are needed and the benefits emerge gradually. With some clients/patients a successful outcome to healing is obvious, but for some, change takes place at a more subtle level and sometimes in an unexpected way. Healing often helps with the speed and extent of recovery from serious illness and major surgery and from the effects of treatments such as chemotherapy and radiation therapy. It works well with all forms of holistic medicine. Usually patients/clients feel more stable and relaxed and often experience a beneficial change to their attitude to life, a situation which often arises in cases of terminal illness where healing brings a sense of peace to the patient and to relatives and friends as well.

There is no anecdotal evidence to suggest that spiritual healing does actually do any long-term harm to the patient/client. However, in saying that, there are occasions when the patient/client may ‘feel worse’ before improving, but this is often a significant part of the healing process, signaling a release which may have gone unrecognized.

About Essenic Energy Medicine/Therapeutic Channelling
- A Soul Therapy

Therapeutic Channelling using touch and healing oils to anoint the feet and hands of the client/patient is an ancient healing therapy that has been performed for many centuries. The therapy comes under the umbrella of spiritual healing therapies as demonstrated by John the Baptist, John the Evangelist and later by Mary Magdalene when she anointed the feet of Jesus with the sacred healing oils of Spikenard. We too are invited by the Divine Feminine to anoint the feet of fellow light workers, Carers and Clients so they can 'forgive and love oneself' thus self healing before healing others. As therapists, we have a duty to acknowledge the words of Jesus, "Physician Heal Thyself."

Our student therapists before been let loose on their/our clients, enter a verbal agreement to commit to undergo a rigorous training programme involving dealing with personal issues and self healing; course assignments, case studies; group work, supervision as well as developing a mature understanding of spirituality (not religion) and the need to develop a prayer life that is underpinned by the teachings of Jesus, the ancient Nazarene Essenes, Franciscan Spirituality and the Core Values of the Academy. Our Ethics Code is regularly monitored by our learned and experienced teachers and therapists, thus safeguarding our clients.

Ongoing training is paramount for the therapists who embrace our family of dedicated light workers as we accept the 'Orthodox teachings of the Master Jesus as sacrosanct for our survival as members of the spiritual family that we are members of. With that in mind, our therapists have developed a new concept of living in an interfaith community. That community or family of therapists is called the Tao Community of St Francis where in love we embrace all religions, creeds, colour known to man. Our mandate to to redress imbalance with balance influenced by the Divine Feminine energies.

We recognize that as wounded healers ourselves, we are best placed to administer this beautiful ancient healing therapy that touches our very souls and reconnects us with Source. But, we adhere to a code of strict protocols and boundaries in our professional relationships with each other, our clients and fellow organizations. As qualified therapists of the Academy, we aim to work only from a place of unconditional love and know that whilst we are offered a high standard of in house training, we know that as light workers we are invited by Christ, our Teacher not just to excel in our therapeutic relationships with clients but more importantly to be a 'people of prayer where that respectful selfless love is nurtured by our prayer life.
